We went to Australia for three weeks for our honeymoon. We started out
on Hayman Island and then went towards Cairns and then back south for a
drive from Brisbane to Sydney. We loved the trip and felt very
relaxed when we came back. We were actually in Australia on September
11, 2001 and met Bill Clinton moments before the first plane struck the
tower. It was a surreal experience to be abroad when there were
such hard times at home. We were so impressed by the Australians
who were so kind to us for the rest of the vacation and were so
concerned for our emotional well being.
